May Selene

May Selene is an author and editor from London, UK. Her literature preferences lean more towards the dark and sometimes literary, with an affinity for eerie tragedies or the viscerally uncomfortable. However, amidst the gothic and the macabre, she holds a Master’s degree in psychoanalysis so her interest will also be piqued with the inclusion of psychological elements – particularly anything referencing Jung.

Under prior pseudonyms, she was previously featured in “When they Saw Us, They Saw the Dead” (2022) with her story “For Evermore,” and most recently edited the anthology “Haunted Hallways: The Mallory Thorne School of Excellence” (2024) which included her own addition “Innocent Sinner.” She also annually posts short stories every Halloween on her website.

Outside of writing, if you so wished, you may find May caring for her bonsai, holed away busy somewhere in a library, or taking a stroll through the night with a bubble tea. Whichever requires the least talking.

Inked in Gray Press seeks stories from all over the world. We love stories from marginalized authors and stories that discuss mental health, neurodivergence, and social issues.
