So much has happened behind the scenes for the My Father’s Files Podcast, an audio-based horror mystery centering around ‘found documents’. The overall story arc follows two young investigators, Ash and Vera as they attempt to decipher the meaning behind a mysterious delivery from Vera’s father a year after his death.
We began the project with an open call for short story submissions, looking for authors to write a paranormal horror piece to be incorporated into the overall story arc. We have some amazingly talented writers featured in the first season. If you’d like to learn more about them, you can check out this blog post.
Voice Actor Submissions Now Open
We’ve started recording! Stories are being finalized, episodes are being written, and we’ve turned on the mics to bring this paranormal horror podcast to life! We are so excited to be moving along on the project.
That also means that we are in need of a voice actors to play reoccurring side characters and single story characters. Time commitment and compensation vary per role.
The open call is rolling, so this post is open until the application button disappears!

Reoccurring Roles Available
Tilda
- Age: 25
- Woman of color, bisexual, sardonic paranormal investigator and cynic.
- Fearful that one day, the ghosts she’s been debunking might actually be real.
- Small parts throughout the 13 episode season
- Compensation: percentage of podcast royalties
- Tilda’s role is multi-episode for the duration of the 4 season podcast.
