Inked in Gray Press has acquired world English rights to two sequels to Of Wolves and Stags by Young Adult Romantasy author Ria Parisi, entitled Of Snakes and Blossoms and Of Foxes and Blades, respectively, to complete the Crystalline Hearts trilogy.
Of Wolves and Stags, Parisi’s debut, was published on March 25, 2025, also by Inked in Gray press. The story introduces readers to the world of Lumiterra, where teenaged orphan Dalia Arrowood is forced to hide her secret magic. Dalia is a Crystalline, a living weapon granted magic through elven experimentation. The trajectory of her life changes when she’s faced with an impossible choice: use her powers to save the dying stranger who has washed upon her village’s shores or leave him to die. Dalia’s decision thrusts her into a world of shifting loyalties, uneasy alliances, and unfathomable revelations about her own past and identity.
Readers connected deeply with Of Wolves and Stags, which features genre favorites such as found (and long-lost) family ties, shadowy pasts, and rebel factions. Parisi’s debut also centers on fat-positive and queer representation.
In Of Snakes and Blossoms, Dalia’s story continues as her ragtag band of rebels contend with the political negotiations of the Elven Empire, Dalia’s growing powers, and the looming threat of total destruction. A savior to some and a destroyer to others, Dalia must accept her powers and her legacy as a weapon for the Gods without losing her humanity in the process.
The deal was negotiated by Jennie Dunham of Dunham Literary, Inc., on behalf of Parisi, and Inked in Gray Press’s Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Dakota Rayne, with Lauren Davila editing. Of Snakes and Blossoms will be published simultaneously in print and digital formats in November 2026.
